How To Teach Your Dog To Play With Toys

Ever since I got my first dog, I have kept asking myself a question, Am I a good dog owner? A good owner will teach their dogs commands. I tried usually dog training methods. But later I saw, toys are so useful weapons when it comes to training dogs.

Dogs love playing with toys. Playing is a good job for dogs, it help them in shape. Dogs also learn about a lot of things by playing with their owners. Putting the dogs aside for a moment, playing with your dog is the best stress-buster for a dog parent.

Here are some my tips for how to teach your dog playing with toys.

1. Choose a good toy for dog. Some toys may damage your dog as they are toxicant, so choose a toy that does't blood color & made of natural materials.

2. Small, round balls are best for dogs. Your dog should be able to pick the toy in his mouth.

3. First, pick up the toy in your hand & play with toy in front of your dog. This idea is to make your dog have fun.

4. Today after playing for a while, I throw the ball in your dog’s path.

5. If you say “go & get it”. Your dog gets up & runs to the toy, it means your dog is interested in playing with this toy. If your dog does not, then you need to play with more times in front of your dog.

6. You need to practice this process at least a week. Start this toy training at your home, after some days take your to play outside.

7. Start with ten to twenty minutes playing session, and then slowly increase the time. Say ”good job ” after each play session.

8. Dogs like human babies, they get bored easily. You need to purchase new toys for your dog every month, or you dog will stop playing.

9. Don't force your dog to play. It does more harm than good.

10. If you have two dogs, you don't have to work hard. Because after sometimes dogs will start playing with each other.

Playing with toys is not a necessity for dogs, is it something every dog does naturally. It take a few work & a lot of patience, but you first time take out your dog's favorite toys and see the bright.

Nothing is more relaxing than playing with your dog. Now, dogs don't get required physical exercise, because dogs live in apartment. But exercise is important for dogs. So you should teach your dog to play inside or outside.
